A New Chapter in Chimtitan's Growth
We are pleased to announce the completion of the largest investment project in our company's history: the opening of a new production hall and the installation of state-of-the-art automated equipment at our Chitila plant. This Chimtitan production capacity expansion marks a turning point in how we serve our industrial customers.
What the Investment Covers
The project, with a total value of more than 2 million euros, included the following:
The New Production Hall
- A 1,200 sqm floor area dedicated to paint and coatings production
- An industrial ventilation system with advanced filtration
- An anti-static epoxy floor for maximum safety
- Energy-efficient industrial LED lighting
Production Equipment
- A high-speed disperser with a 5,000-litre capacity for pigment homogenisation
- A ball mill for fine grinding of pigments down to 10 microns
- An automated raw-material dosing system accurate to ±0.1%
- A planetary mixer for two-component formulations and high-viscosity products
- An automated filling line for containers from 1L to 25L
An Upgraded Laboratory
- A next-generation spectrophotometer for colour matching
- A salt spray chamber with increased capacity
- QUV equipment for accelerated weathering tests
- A digital Brookfield viscometer
Production Capacity
With these investments, our annual production capacity rises from 5,000 tonnes to over 7,000 tonnes, a 40% increase. This allows us to:
- Cut lead times on standard orders to 24 hours
- Improve flexibility for custom orders and small batches
- Broaden our product range with new formulations, including specialised industrial coatings
- Strengthen quality consistency by automating critical processes
Environmental Impact
The new equipment is engineered for maximum energy efficiency and lower emissions:
- 20% lower energy use per tonne of product compared with the old equipment
- A solvent recovery system that reduces losses by 30%
- Integration with our existing photovoltaic array for green power supply
